The Xiaomi 15 is equipped with Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, paired with either 12GB or 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and storage options of 256GB, 512GB, or even 1TB of UFS 4.0. Notably, Xiaomi has discontinued the 8GB RAM variant for this series, reflecting the brand’s commitment to high-end performance and efficiency.
Robust Battery and Efficient Charging Solutions
One of the standout features is the Xiaomi 15’s 5,400mAh Silicon-Carbon battery—a major upgrade over the Xiaomi 14’s 4,610mAh capacity. Despite the increase in battery size, the phone retains a compact build at 152.3 x 71.2 x 8.08mm and weighs 191 grams, making it one of the slimmest phones with such a high-capacity battery.
The device supports rapid 90W wired charging and 50W wireless charging, enhanced by Xiaomi’s G1 battery management chip, which is designed to preserve at least 80% of battery health after 1,600 charge cycles.
Display and Design Details
The Xiaomi 15 features a vibrant 6.36-inch flat OLED screen with a resolution of 1,200 x 2,670 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate, ensuring fluid visuals and sharp color clarity. Xiaomi has also boosted the peak brightness to 3,200 nits with DC dimming, making it even more adaptable to different lighting conditions. Additionally, Xiaomi introduces an ultrasonic fingerprint reader in this model, enhancing security and user convenience.
Triple 50MP Camera Setup with Enhanced Video Capabilities
The Xiaomi 15 boasts a triple 50MP camera configuration, anchored by the OmniVision Light Fusion 900 sensor, which supports lossless 5x zoom and features a bright f/1.62 aperture with optical image stabilization (OIS). The telephoto lens now has a 60mm focal length, enabling macro shots from as close as 10cm. The ultra-wide camera features a 115° field of view, perfect for capturing more in each shot.
A significant upgrade in video capabilities allows the Xiaomi 15 to record 8K at 30fps and 4K at up to 60fps, with Dolby Vision HDR available on all cameras, appealing to video enthusiasts looking for cinema-quality footage.
Connectivity and Software
The Xiaomi 15 includes extensive connectivity options: 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and NFC. The USB-C 3.2 Gen 1 port supports high-speed data transfer at 5Gbps. Audio is equally impressive, featuring stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and certifications for Hi-Res Audio and Hi-Res Audio Wireless.
This device runs on Xiaomi’s new HyperOS 2.0, offering a refined and optimized user experience.
Pricing and Availability
The Xiaomi 15 series is now available for pre-order in China, with official sales starting on October 31.
