Next Month’s New Ultra-Performance Phone

The new REDMI smartphone has been advertised as a “product with ultra-high performance, high quality and long battery life” that appeals to younger buyers. While official details have been limited, industry insiders have surmised that it could be the REDMI Turbo 4 Pro.

According to rumors, the REDMI Turbo 4 Pro may feature:

  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Elite processor
  • 6.8-inch display with 1.5K resolution
  • Colossal 7500 mAh battery
  • Sleek and slender design with slim bezels and metal right-angle mid-frame
  • Dual-camera setup vertically at the back

It aims to deliver performance-oriented experience that younger consumers have come to expect from REDMI while maintaining brand value focus.

Civi Series: The Balanced Small Flagship

The new Civi series smartphone, apparently to be the Civi 5 Pro, will be a “well-balanced small flagship” and feature massive upgrades compared to a predecessor. The highly anticipated smartphone will feature high-end features and a refined design.

Expected specifications include:

  • 6.55-inch curved screen with a resolution of 1.5K
  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Elite chip
  • Triple-camera system from Leica with a 50-megapixel telephoto lens with OIS optical stabilization
  • Dual front camera for improved selfies and video calls
  • 5500mAh with support for fast charging at 90W
  • High-end metal frame design combining lightweight feel with premium look and feel

One of the largest limitations in the previous Civi 4 Pro model has been overcome by the addition of optical image stabilization, and it’s a huge upgrade for photographers.

More in the Pipeline from Xiaomi

Wang Teng and Hu Xinxin didn’t stop there, and they revealed that a number of other Xiaomi products in the pipeline include:

Xiaomi Latest Tablets

A new high-end tablet with model number 25032RP42C has just received 3C certification, with high-speed charging support at a massive 120W via a charger with model number MDY-17-EB. This indicates a new high-end tablet from Xiaomi, which would be a notch above current Xiaomi Tablet 7 Pro. The certification information shows it may be a Wi-Fi-only model coming in Q1 2025.

REDMI K80 Ultra

REDMI K80 Ultra has gone into production and will be out earlier than last year’s version, but specifics have not been announced about what features it will include.

REDMI K90 Imaging Upgrades

While in its early stages, the K90 will have considerable imaging upgrades, in line with Xiaomi’s focus on camera performance.

YU7 Road Testing

Wang Teng confirmed that road testing for the YU7 has already commenced, with him himself heading out to carry out testing the following day, which reflects hands-on product development by Xiaomi. With the introduction of these new and interesting products into its product portfolio, Xiaomi keeps a focus on delivering innovative technology with a balance in performance, quality, and value across different segments in the marketplace.
