Introduction
The Realme P4 Pro is the latest mid-range smartphone from the brand. Realme is on a bit of a roll with its P-series launches, with this being the fourth one we have seen being launched just this year.
Unfortunately, the P4 Pro is not a particularly original proposition. This is, for all intents and purposes, the Realme 15 Pro that we looked at recently, with some minor alterations. Depending on how you want to look at it, this is not a bad thing. After all, the P4 Pro is in a whole price class below the 15 Pro, and if you’re getting largely the same phone for a lower price, it makes the P4 Pro seem like a better deal in comparison.
Realme P4 Pro specs at a glance:

- Misc: Fingerprint reader (under display, optical); stereo speakers.
But we are getting ahead of ourselves here. The Realme P4 Pro has more or less the same specification sheet as the 15 Pro, but the differences come in the form of a lower resolution ultra-wide camera on the back, which swaps the 50MP unit for an 8MP one, as well as the lack of RGB lighting and two-tone flash. On the other hand, the P4 Pro gains what Realme calls the Hyper Vision AI chip, which is an image processor for improving the frame rate in gaming and video workloads. And then there are some design and build quality differences.
This means you’re still getting the large, high-resolution display with a claimed 144Hz refresh rate and 6500 nits peak brightness, the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, a massive 7000mAh battery with 80W fast charging, and 50MP main rear and front cameras.
Considering the much lower price of the P4 Pro, that sounds like a good deal. Let’s see how this ‘lite’ version of the 15 Pro performs.
Unboxing
The Realme P4 Pro comes in standard yellow Realme packaging. Inside, you find the phone, a charger, and a data cable. Retail units should also include a transparent case, which, for some reason, wasn’t present inside our box, even though it was mentioned on the outside.
