Some users on the Xiaomi forums have complained that key applications such as Gallery and MI Remote crash or freeze frequently on some devices.
Details of the Issue
- Gallery Crashes: These occur while viewing or editing photos on the Xiaomi 14T.
- MI Remote Crashes: Observed on the POCO F5, the app becomes non-functional when controlling external devices.
Xiaomi’s Acknowledgment
Xiaomi is aware of the two issues, listing them on the list of bugs that they will update and fix in the future, where developers are said to already be working to release fixes over the coming days.
Temporary Fixes
- Clear Cache and Data: Go to Settings > Apps > Manage Apps, locate the problematic application, and thereby clear its cache and data.
- Reinstall the App: If that doesn’t work, uninstall and reinstall the app from the Mi App Store or Google Play Store.
