In a surprising move, Xiaomi has released the budget phone Redmi A5 in Bangladesh in stealth mode, bringing amazing features at an affordable price to the market. The new member of the Redmi A series boasts of many improvements over its predecessors in the guise of a silky-smooth 120Hz screen and improved camera features that are not usually offered in this price segment. The release is Xiaomi’s move to bring high-featured but cheap smartphones to the developing world and expand its global presence in the competitive budget segment.
Impressive Specifications at Affordable Price
The Redmi A5 comes with the big 6.88-inch HD+ LCD screen with 120Hz refresh rate that provides smoother scrolling than other budget smartphones. This screen upgrade is the first of its kind in the A-series that has always focused on functionality over premium features.
Internally, the phone is powered by the Unisoc T7250 processor (or Unisoc T615) paired with either 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage space or 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage space. This hardware configuration should provide good performance for general use and light gaming.
Camera and battery life

The phone comes with a big 5,200mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging, but Xiaomi ships it with a 15W charger. The battery will not struggle to keep the phone going through the course of a day of use even with the high refresh screen.
Design and Security
The Redmi A5 features high-end-looking AG frosted glass on the back that makes it look premium than what is common in budget smartphones. To make it secure, Xiaomi has employed the side-mounted fingerprint scanner that allows fast and convenient unlocking.
