Xiaomi Motors formally launched the availability of its “Parking Space to Parking Space” end-to-end intelligent driving experience for a select group of 10,000 users. The function aims to provide a seamless and complete automated driving experience, with the user having the option to enable the system the moment they enter their vehicle. According to Xiaomi, the system enhances the overall driving experience by enabling smooth and intelligent navigation through various driving scenarios.

Xiaomi’s Intelligent Driving Milestone

Xiaomi SU7 Pro and SU7 Max users who were successfully joined in the “10,000-Person Experience Group” are the first to experience advanced features such as ETC automatic passage, roundabout navigation, and narrow road detours. These features are a significant advance in Xiaomi’s intelligent driving technology.

Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun previously announced at the Guangzhou Auto Show that the company’s smart driving project had entered a new phase, which has been termed as Hyper Autonomous Driving (HAD). The system is designed to offer an improved and more natural driving experience, combining real-time data analysis with AI-driven decision-making.

Key Features of Xiaomi’s “Parking Space to Parking Space” Driving System

1. More Human-Like Driving Behavior

The novel system enhances the natural driving rhythm by reducing excessive braking and acceleration, making the experience smoother and more predictable. Through the use of sophisticated AI and trajectory planning, Xiaomi’s HAD system intelligently predicts and selects the optimal driving trajectory in real time.

2. Improved Traffic Efficiency

With “Parking Space to Parking Space” feature, the vehicle is ready for smart navigation the moment the driver gets in. Oncoming traffic, pedestrians, and stationary obstacles can be handled by the system with greater precision. It also supports ETC (Electronic Toll Collection) automatic passage and intelligent gate passage, enabling continuous driving.

3. Better Safety Features

Xiaomi’s HAD system employs an end-to-end multi-dimensional rating model, continuously rating the safety of its driving trajectories. This AI-based safety function ensures that the vehicle maintains high standards of security while driving in difficult road situations, including pedestrian crossings and areas with dense bicycle traffic.

4. Complex Scenario Advanced Visual-Language Model (VLM)

The system is equipped with a real-time road condition analysis feature, i.e., it is capable of identifying potholes, construction zones, and complex intersections like T-junctions. This enables the vehicle to provide appropriate driving suggestions and take necessary precautions in difficult driving conditions.

Xiaomi’s Vision for the Future of Smart Driving

As its intelligent driving ecosystem expands, Xiaomi will integrate HyperOS with its auto business to create a more unified and friendly experience. The move further increases Xiaomi’s competitiveness in the hotly contested smart car sector, making it a significant contender along with traditional auto giants.

As the “10,000-person Experience Group” continues to test and provide feedback for these smart driving features, Xiaomi should persist in refining its smart driving technology. The widespread release of the “Parking Space to Parking Space” system should follow later this year, bringing next-generation autonomous driving technology to more people. ### Sources: – IT Home (http://ithome.com/) – Xiaomi Official Weibo (http://weibo.com/xiaomi)
